Latvian Short Film Agency is founded with the aim of serving as the missing link in the chain in communication and targeted promotion and representation of Latvian short films. Its activity aims to to further develop the Latvian short film industry by representing the interests of filmmakers, festivals and the country at the local and international level.

Managing director and creator of the Latvian Short Film Agency. Head of Industry days at Riga International Short Film festival 2ANNAS, project coordinator for a film distribution project and National Film award “Lielais Kristaps” at Latvian Filmmakers Union, project director of the Contemporary Video Art Festival Waterpieces, as well as producer and project manager for many other creative projects.

Parallel to coordinating European Short Pitch, Lauma is managing director of Short Film Conference and short film programme manager at Riga International Film Festival. She regularly serves as a jury member in different festivals, is part of several selection committees, and additionally, coordinates different projects at Latvian Animation Association.

She divides her work between theory and practice. Since 2019 she is programme director at Riga International Short Film festival 2ANNAS and has been a curator of short films since 2015. Lately she is working as a guest lecturer teaching about short film history and video art. Her own work focus is researching personal and collective histories through interconnectivity.
